    Description

    This is a letter from King George of England on his Windsor Castle Embossed letterhead.  It is dated April 1918 and is a welcome to the "Soldiers of the United States" as they join the Allies in World War One.  It is very poignant with a wish that he could shake each soldier's hand.  It is 7 & 5/8" by 5".  A bit of the red has bled onto the bottom part of the letter as it must have remained folded for 100 years or more.  It is otherwise in wonderful condition.
