Courvoisier Gallery Print (1940). With the tremendous box office success in 1938 of "Snow White," Walt Disney Studios decided to try and market their animation art. Disney felt that since so much talent, time, and effort went into the creation of each illustration, they should be marketed as true works of art and not just trivial movie memorabilia. So Disney's marketing department made arrangements to sell its art through the Courvoisier Gallery, located in San Francisco. Disney's animation masterpiece, "Pinocchio," represented the highest achievement that had ever been accomplished in the animated arts. It is believed that this rare set of prints was sent from the Courvoisier Gallery to select theaters to correspond with the initial release of the film. Measures 13" X 15".

"All Together Now"
Pinocchio, newly created and just brought to life by the Blue Fairy, is getting acquainted with his new friends - Figaro, the kitten, Cleo, the goldfish, and Jiminy Cricket. Pinocchio and Jiminy have plenty to talk about, as Jiminy has been appointed Lord High Keeper of the Knowledge of Right and Wrong. In plain words, Jiminy is Pinocchio's conscience, and he is determined to stick right by Pinocchio, come what may. But right now, neither has the slightest idea of the adventures and hazards in store for them.
