    Description

12" Marquee Letter "C" from the FABULOUS FOX THEATER in Atlanta, GA. It opened in 1929 as a movie theater. It is now and for many years has been a venue for concerts and off-Broadway shows as well as weddings and other big events. This letter "C" was obtained by me on Saturday July 22, 1995 at a Fox Theater "Garage Sale". It was held on the sidewalk area in front of the theater. They had the marquee letters from several eras and this is from the last set before the big electronic sign was installed, which remains today. I have some of these in frames, hot glued to mats along with framed photos of the Fox Sign and marquee (found on Google Image if this is something you want to do). It is a VERY thick strong heavy plastic type material. It has a tiny 1/2 inch crack in the inside botton corner of the "C" but to make it crack further you would need TOOLS! You can tell it's been used on the marquee because there are tiny scuffs to prove it. It does not stand alone, but with hot glue (which does not melt it) it can be adapted with a self made stand or put into a frame background. I have in my home and game room, several displayed that way in frames. With hot glue and a piece of string or thin wire attached to the back side, you could easily have a way to hang it on a nail. I've sold quite a few of the letters, as I bought about 22 that day. Gave some, kept some, and have only three left for sale. This is a piece of Atlanta & U.S. history and almost any performer you can name has appeared here. Prince's last concert before he passed, was here. This comes from a smoke free/pet free home. The shipping will be priority mail as in a box, the weight is over a pound. I will include a photo of the FOX sign & photo of the artist rendering shown in the listing. Ships to continental United States.
