Indenture dated March 25, 1738 between "Anthony Morris of the City of Philadelphia Brewer and Phebe his Wife of the one Part and John Derborow of the said City Merchant Joseph Derborow and Sarah Derborow (They the said Joseph and Sarah being the Children and only issue of the said John Derborow by Sarah his Wife lately deceased one of the daughters of John Day hereafter named of the other part"...
Looks like the property was first purchased by Thomas Fairman of Shakamaxon and then sold to John Day in 1691.  The property was located on High Street next to Thomas Holmes' lot in Philadelphia. Other names mentioned are Abraham Bickley, Edward Pleadwell, and William Sherlow.
The witnesses on the document Joseph Richardson Sr.(1711-1784) and Francis Richardson Jr.(1705-1782) are the sons of Francis Richardson II(1684-1729).  Both Joseph Sr. and Francis Jr. apprenticed under their father as silversmiths and goldsmiths. Francis Jr. was also a merchant and clockmaker and never pursued the trades of silversmithing and goldsmithing. Joseph Sr. inherited his father's tools and shop. He has been called the greatest in the family of great silversmiths. Joseph had two sons, who were also silversmiths and goldsmiths, Joseph Richardson Jr. and Nathaniel Richardson.
The other signature on the document is Clement Plumsted here as a Justice. He was also the Mayor of Philadelphia in 1723,1736, and 1741. He was also a Councilman, Alderman, and a member of the Pennsylvania Provincial Counsel.
