Description

An early arrest warrant to the Sheriff of Windham County, Connecticut to "attach the body of Noble Campbell of Voluntown" in a case brought by Benjamin Trimball of Sterling for non-payment of "twenty four Bushels of Merchantable Indian Corn".  Dated January 18, 1799.  Voluntown was a part of Windham County from 1726 to 1881, when it became part of New London County.  Noble Campbell was a Revoultionary War soldier, a member of the 6th Company, Col Parsons' Sixth Regiment, Connecticut Militia in 1775.  A partially printed document approximately 7 1/4" x 8" in size, dark inki, easily read.  I nice early document involving a known Revolutionary War soldier.
