Excellent thick vellum original document from the Province of Pennsylvania. Large document measures approx 29.5"x12.75", dated December 7, 1962. There is a partial prr philadelphia and reading railroad sticker on the front.
This is an Indenture between George [Cordwain] and Mary Passage and Jacob Stonemetz [Distiller], concerning a certain piece of land situate in the Northern Liberties of Philadelphia, lying on the Northwest side of Great Road leading from Frankford to Philadelphia,
Signed by George Passage, Mary Passage, and I(saac) Jones,
Witnessed by L. Weiss and Conrad(?) Provider, and on verso by G. Smith (Recorder) and George Passage/ L. Weiss (both again).
Research shows that
"ISAAC JONES (d.1773) was a Pennsylvania Justice and Trustee/ Treasurer at the Academy and College of Philadelphia (now the University of Pennsylvania)."
Very good condition for age with only light antique wear. Good seal.
Excellent original early family and/or town genealogy, history, antique, collectible heirloom and/or ephemera.
