Beyoncé is expected to appear at Kamala Harris rally in Houston

Beyoncé will appear alongside Vice President Kamala Harris at a campaign event in Houston on Friday, according to multiple reports.
MSNBC, CNN and NPR reported that Beyoncé will perform at the event, which is taking place in the pop superstar’s hometown. The Associated Press also reported on the appearance, citing three sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Beyoncé and her team have not confirmed the appearance. The Harris campaign did not immediately comment.
The Friday event takes place just days after Harris was joined by former U.S. president Barack Obama and rapper Eminem at an event in Detroit.
In recent years, Beyoncé has largely avoided the press, and rarely makes public appearances.
In August, it was heavily rumoured that Beyoncé would appear for the final night of the Democratic National Convention. Alas, that never came to be.
“At this point not going to believe a story about a surprise Beyoncé appearance until she is there onstage holding up an ID card and a phone bill,” journalist Benjy Sarlin quipped on X.
Earlier this year, the Harris-Walz campaign adopted Beyoncé’s 2016 song “Freedom” as an official song for the Democratic presidential campaign.
The U.S. election takes place on ⁦Tuesday, Nov. 5.
